I was searching for what the upside down peace sign means (It means anti-military) because I saw it on a bag and couldn't remember, and found this. Funny, but kind of bothering.

The real peace sign is actually made from semaphore signs, here's wikipedia on the subject, not always entirely reliable, but probably more so in this case.
